3rd and 4th October
The Triple Championship of Blessed Herman, St Christina and Barony of Innilgard will be held on the Saturday 3rd October.
The Championship is made up of 3 tournaments – a Royal Round (target archery), a Roving Round, and a Novelty Shoot. All archers shoot the 3 categories together. The highest ranked Innilgard archer is the Innilgard winner in each category, the highest ranked Blessed Herman archer is the BH winner in each category, and the highest ranked St Christina archer is the StC winner in each category.
The Champion for each group is the archer who has won at least 2 out of the 3 archery tournament categories. If there are 3 different winners for the 3 categories, there will be a shoot-off between the 3 finalists to determine the Champion. The format for the shoot-off may be a round of 6 arrows at 30 yards, a single arrow shoot off, or any other method that the Baronage and marshals agree on.
Archers must nominate which barony or college they are competing for. An archer can compete in the Baronial championship and for a College, but not for both Colleges. If a College archer wins the Baronial Championship, they must decide whether to represent their College or the Barony, they cannot be champion of both. It is up to the Colleges whether they will accept non-student or non-affiliated archers as potential champions.
The Championship will be followed by a bonfire lit with fire arrows (weather permitting) and a BBQ/feast for those who wish to stay for it.
The Agincourt Day will be held on the Sunday 4th October. It will be a day of archery and other ranged weapon events, following the theme of Agincourt.
· Marks shoot – distance shooting aiming at marks, with different distances for different powered bows.
· Clout – distance shoot, no particular target.
· Agincourt run – archers shooting combat blunts at Heavies or Combat Archers
