Appel Von Nuremburg – 1480’s Swabian Housebook Gown (Laurel Prize AS LVIII)
The housebook gown is a modern term ascribed to this style of pleated gown due to its depiction by the
Master of the Housebook, also known as the Master of the Amsterdam Cabinet. It is most well known for
the pleating at the front and back of the gown.
