Sunday 28th July
Come One and All to the Splendor of Innilgards Fretted Frenzy!
A Banquet Where Norms Unwind
Social Scripts Left Far Behind
A Jester Crowned with Cap and Grace
Foolish Antics and Merry Chase
In the Realm of Jest, the Wise Play Dumb
At the Feast of Fools, Dignity Undone
Ozey, ozey!
Good gentles, we would like to invite you all to our combination rapier and feast event, to be held on Sunday the 28th of July, 2024.
First of all, the meerkats wish to fight on the rapier field and invite all rapier fighters in the barony to come and give it to them. Innilgard, come along with a picnic lunch (this lunch is NOT catered) and cheer on your favourite fighter in a timed round robin tournament.
Final court is strictly at 1.30pm, with pack up to be completed by 2.30pm. This is to allow for everyone to get to the ‘Fretted Frenzy IV: Feast of Fools’ in the Guide Hall from 3pm. Feast of Fools is a feast event centered around fun and general silliness. Come for a night of food, games, and merriment; where rules are mocked and authority crumbles. Where even the meanest peasant may become a ruler for a night.
This event is free if you do NOT want to be fed. Otherwise, tickets are $20 if you would like food (food for the evening feast, that is, make sure to bring your own picnic lunch). There is also a standard $10 fee for non-members. BYO alcoholic drinks (if you so desire).
Please book for the feast via this form (https://forms.gle/VrZRw9rtTonfTLSL9). Catered bookings close on the 14th of July. Bookings are not required if you are only attending the rapier part of the event.
This event will include a bardic event and an A&S competition. The themes for the A&S competition are “Joke” and “Winter Warmers”. For the bardic competition, we encourage comedic entries!
